While taking the subway to work, the stop that I got on in North Hollywood was the end of the line. One morning, I got on and noticed a woman fast asleep in the seat. I gently touched her shoulder and said "Ma'am? You're in North Hollywood." She woke with a start and said "Oh NO! I’m supposed to be at Wilshire/Western!" She had slept through her transfer point and was on the wrong line. This was her first time on the train and now she was late for work. "Talk to me," I said." I’ll keep you awake and get you to the right station." We arrived at her transfer point. After giving her directions, I waved goodbye and hoped that her boss was understanding about her being late for work.

At the end of my workday, I felt a sense of urgency that is rare but when I feel it, I listen to it. I hurried to the subway and instead of turning right as I usually do, I turned left. I was standing on the platform and I looked to my left and standing there was the SAME woman from the morning. I laughed and said, “"Don’t tell me you’re lost again!" She jumped a bit and stared at me. "Oh my"” she said "I was just standing here praying, 'Oh Lord, please send me that woman from this morning again." I laughed out loud that this was the first time I had ever been the direct answer to someone's prayer.
